Bacharach's all new GDC-350 full-featured fixed gas monitors provide superior operation - standalone or as part of a larger system utilizing the standard analog outputs. This state-of-the-art instrument can detect a wide range of gases including carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O2), combustible gases, refrigerants and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs). The GDC-350 provides a unique two sensor interface, allowing for multiple gases to be detected with onboard or remote sensors. Fast, accurate and easy to use instruments for measuring and analyzing carbon dioxide or oxygen. Fyrite Analyzers are available for either CO2 or O2 analysis, and each model is produced in three scale ranges.

All six instruments are similar in appearance and size, but differ in important construction details, as well as in the absorbing fluids.

Each model, therefore, is suitable only for the particular gas analysis or scale range for which it has been manufactured. Accuracy is within ±1/2% CO2 or 02.

Operation

Fyrite absorbing fluid is selective in the chemical absorption of carbon dioxide or oxygen, respectively. Therefore, the Fyrite's accuracy, which is well within the range required for industrial and professional applications, does not depend upon complicated sequential test procedures. In addition, Fyrite readings are unaffected by the presence of most background gases in the sample.

The number of tests possible with one fluid charge depends on the concentration of samples being tested. At midpoint scale reading the CO2 fluid is good for approximately 300 gas samples and the O2 fluid for 100 tests. The need to replace fluid can be easily determined with a simple test, and replacement is an easy procedure. These test procedures, as well as other good information, are provided in the Fyrite manual 11-9026.

Features

Fyrite Indicators have a broad range; they may be exposed to ambient temperatures from -30° to 150°F, and gases up to 850°F may be tested with standard aspirator sampling equipment (special sampling equipment for higher gas temperatures or dry gases is available). S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The RKI S2 Sensors and Transmitters use state of the art sensor technology to detect common gas hazards. Explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The explosion proof sensors use a variety of detection mechanisms including catalytic for LEL and LEL- H2 specific; metal oxide semiconductor for hydrogen; galvanic cell technology for oxygen; electrochemical for hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide; and infrared for carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons. A hydrogen specific sensor transmitter is not available. Each of these detection methods come with their own measuring range specifications and response times varying from 20 seconds to 45 seconds. These sensors are stainless steel and are housed in a cast aluminum explosion proof J-Box (a stainless steel J-Box is also available).

Non-explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The non-explosion proof sensors use galvanic cells for oxygen detection; electrochemical technology for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, and other toxics; and infrared technology for carbon dioxide detection. The response times vary between 20 seconds and 60 seconds depending on the targeted gas, and the measuring ranges vary as well. These sensors are plastic or aluminum and housed in an explosion proof J-Box.

Accessories

The S2 Sensor/Transmitter has numerous accessories available to meet the individual workplace's needs. Such accessories include calibration adaptors, flow through adaptors, remote horns and lights, calibration kits, battery backups, splash guards, air aspirator adaptors or panels, and data loggers.
