ATEX 94/9/EC Conformity

Flexible modular design

Each GMA 200-MT module can control up to 16 individual gas transmitters (sensors). GMA 200-MT systems are scalable, and easy to expand by adding additional controller and relay modules. Optional gateway modules allow control via remote or touchscreen computer interface.

Integrated relays

GMA 200-MT systems include comprehensive and fully programmable relays. Each controller is equipped with 8 internal relays. Menu-driven software allows easy assignment of measuring points to relays, single or multiple alarms per point, alarm thresholds, configuration of collective or group alarms, zoning, fault messages and voting functions.

Relay modules

Each GMA 200-RT relay module provides an additional 16 freely configurable relays. A total of four additional relay modules (for 64 additional relays) can be managed by the same GMA 200-MT system. Digital connection with the GMA 200-MT controller allows remote positioning of the relay module wherever it makes the most sense, substantially reducing cabling and installation costs. Relay modules are available with or without an integral display for readings and system information, making it easy to add a remote terminal wherever needed.

Optional Fieldbus-Gateways

Optional gateway modules allow integration of the GMA 200-MT system into existing company networks based on TCP/IP, Process Field Bus or Process Field Network protocols. Monitoring and system performance data are easily exported for viewing or analysis. A wifi interface can be added to the gateway to allow wireless connection with a touch screen Windows® computer or smart phone to display or access system information.

GMA 200 power options

GMA 200-MT power options include traditional voltage inputs (2 x 24 V DC, 20-30 V), as well as operation via a redundant, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), ensuring continued operation of the gas warning system even during a power outage.

LED indicator lights

The status of the GMA 200-MT system (including operation, fault, service, alarm and relay status) is shown via LEDs. Individual LED indicators identify the type and severity of the alarm condition, (FLT, AL1, AL2, AL3), and any relays activated by the condition, (R1 through R8).

Graphical display

Currently measured values are displayed on a backlit, graphical LCD. In the event of an alarm the display changes color from green to red, and highlights the affected channels.

Operation via keypad

Operation of the GMA 200 is through easy-to-use menus, and a simple 5 button interface for alarm acknowledgement, and viewing information on the status of the gas warning system, detectors and relays. The intuitive push-button controls make it easy to navigate through additional screens of information. The integrated display enables the reading of alarm levels through the controller LCD for easy hazard assessment.

The operation of the DS404 docking station couldn't be any easier. Simply put the G450 or the G460 in the dock and the system will take over from there. The DS404 automatically performs a full functional test including fresh air calibration, bump test, extensive sensor tests, alarm tests and optionally performs an automatic AutoCal® calibration.

Extensive diagnostics

The DS404 is designed to go beyond the traditional basic docking station tests and includes sensor diagnostics tests such as T50 and T90. After all, what good is a sensor that can respond to gas when it takes too long to get there? With the DS404 you can have confidence with this added level of safety.

Automatic charging

The FS System 10 is available in both wallmount controller and card controller configurations. (For additional information on card controller, consult the factory.)

The detector is mounted in an explosion-proof housing. The wall-mounted controller is a self-contained system mounted in a NEMA 12 enclosure with LCD display and LED status lights. Three 10-amp mechanical relays have been incorporated for shutting down the paint flow, electrostatics and conveyor. Event history and fire tech data are reported by the detector in real time and data, then stored in the controller's non-volatile memory. FirePic™ and SnapShot™ data can be downloaded from the RS-232 port of the controller from your PC. The controller may operate with one or two detectors.

Fire Sentry FS10-R Unitized

The Fire Sentry FS10-R Unitized is a multi-spectral infrared electro-optical flame detector designed specifically for liquid paint or powder spray booth applications. Based on the Fire Sentry FS System 10, the FS10-R Unitized flame detector meets the need for a stand-alone capability and complies with the NFPA 33 Standard. The WideBand IR™, NearBand IR, and Visible sensors combined with the advanced signal procession provide optimum performance. High spend fire response with optional factory sensitivity settings and alarm outputs provide the best, proven solution to fire detection for the Finishing Industry.

Operation

The Fire Sentry FS10-R Unitized detector is designed to operate with any approved fire alarm panel. Interface with fire alarm panel is accomplished using the detector's ALARM, ALERT and FAULT relays.

When power is applied, a self-test is automatically performed and the FAULT relay is energized to show that the detector has no faults. The front LED blinks every ten seconds to indicate normal operation.

In normal operation, the continuous spectral data stream of information from the sensor array is analyzed by the microprocessor. With two distinct relay outputs, the Fire Sentry FS10-R Unitized provides an ALERT output for spray gun "fireball" type fires, and if the fire continues a FIRE ALARM is declared in 4-5 seconds.

The detector stores all the pre-fire spectral data from the sensor array in non-volatile memory for retrieval and evaluation. The Fire Sentry FS10-R stores the last six FirePic™ events, each 8 seconds long; and 200 event histories with time and date stamp. The FirePic data can then be used to postulate the cause of the fire.

The Eagle 2 can monitor up to 6 different gases and is equipped with several exclusive features that can only be found with the Eagle series. Specialty Sensors

The Eagle 2 has a variety of available specialty sensors. An infrared sensor is available for Co2, % LEL CH4, % Volume CH4, % LEL HC, and % Volume HC. Thermal conductivity sensors are available for % Volume H2 and % Volume CH4. The unit is also compatible with the smart plug and play toxic sensors for the detection of NH3, AsH3, CI2, HCN, PH3, and SO2. With the wide variety of sensors and gas detection available, the Eagle 2 can be customized to meet almost all worksite gas detection needs.

Exclusive Features

The monitor has a long internal pump that can draw samples for up to 125 feet. The pump features a low flow auto shut off and alarm. This allows operators to respond swiftly from a safe distance. The unit is multilingual with 5 different language preferences, and features an alkaline battery life of 18 hours or a NiMH life of 20 hours. To protect the integrity of the device and the configurations, the unit can be password protected. The Eagle 2 also has standard data logging capabilities for easy research, evaluation, and site monitoring. To reduce calibration costs and time, the unit features an automatic calibration option and a single gas calibration option.

The Eagle 2 is heavily protected from environmental conditions by a weather proof, chemical resistant RFI/EMI coated high impact polycarbonate/PBT blend enclosure. The enclosure also renders the unit water and dust resistant. Because of the enclosure, the Eagle 2 can function in 2 inches of water without leakage.

The portable and durable unit is lightweight at less than 4 pounds. Its dimensions are suitable for convenient carrying (9.5 L x 5.25 W x 5.875 H), and it features a conveniently placed durable top handle. The large easy to read display has a polyurethane overlay backlights on demand and when the alarm is activated. The 2 alarm channels are fully adjustable for the user and can be password protected. With a 95 dB buzzer and 4 high intensity LEDs, the alarm is sure not to be missed. The Eagle 2 is standard with a 2 year warranty for material and workmanship and a 1 year warranty for PID sensor.
