82052 Regal Premium Tripod by Celestron

The perfect tripod should be stable yet lightweight and easy to operate, requiring minimal knob twisting and lever flipping. The Celestron Regal was designed to be your perfect tripod. It is lightweight (6.04 lb.) and compact, yet it can hold up to almost 9 pounds of equipment.

The Celestron Regal Tripod is topped with a two-way fluid pan head. The single handle makes it easy to move the head around, while two knobs, located on the same side of the head make it easy to adjust the tension of the pan and tilt. A quick release plate with standard 1/4-20 thread mount makes it easy to attach a spotting scope, binocular, camera, or small telescope to the tripod. The quick release plate also doubles as a balance rail allowing the optic to be balanced when attached to the tripod. For additional peace of mind the quick release plate has a safety mechanism which prevents it from sliding completely out of the pan head without pushing the release button.

The aluminum legs of the Regal Tripod are fully adjustable, not just in length, but in their angle as well. Each leg is made up of four sections that can be shortened or lengthened with the flip of a simple lever lock. This makes it easy to make the tripod a little taller or a little shorter as your terrain or needs change. Each leg can also be set to three different angles. If the place you need to set up your tripod is not perfectly flat, the ability to adjust the angle of one or more legs makes all the difference.

With the center column fully extended, the maximum height achieved is nearly 69 inches (59 inches with the column down). The center column of the Regal Tripod does more than just go up and down. The bottom end of the column holds a retractable balance hook. This simple device can make all the difference in the stability of your tripod, especially on windy days. Just hang something heavy from the hook like a backpack and you'll be amazed at the difference. When the hook is not needed, it retracts up into the center column to stay neatly out of the way.

The Luminos series eyepieces offer a wide 82° field of view in both high power and low power models, allowing you to make the most of your telescope, whether you own a short, fast refractor or a Celestron EdgeHD telescope. The optical set consists of six or seven elements (depending on the model) and is fully multi-coated for crisp, sharp views. All six Luminos eyepieces are parfocal, which means you can switch out eyepieces during observing sessions with little or no additional focusing required.

The Luminos eyepiece body is made of polished and anodized aluminum. A rubber grip runs around the equator of the eyepiece, giving you a secure grip and an easy method for raising and lowering the retractable eyecup. 93522 Dual-Axis Motor Drive for CG-4 Mounts by Celestron

Add tracking and tracking correction capabilities to any setup that uses a Celestron CG-4 equatorial mount. The right ascension motor drive allows the telescope to track a star's movement through the night sky, and the addition of a declination motor gives you the ability to make adjustments in all four directions with the included drive corrector hand controller.

With this drive system mounted on a properly polar-aligned telescope, the user can do visual observations or sketches without objects constantly drifting out of the field if view. Astrophotography is also possible when a mount has dual-axis drive with drive corrector capabilities.

The Celestron dual-axis motor drive system is powered by four D-cell batteries in a self-contained battery pack. The drive can be used in either the Northern or Southern Hemisphere. To change hemispheres (reverse the motor's direction), simply flip the "N/Off/S" switch on the drive corrector hand controller.

The drive corrector hand controller can be used to move the telescope at different speeds. This is achieved by choosing the desired speed on a switch marked "2x/4x/8x." Twice the sidereal rate, or 2x, is used for guiding on a star when doing astrophotography. The 4x speed is used to center objects in the eyepiece. The 8x speed can be used for centering objects in the finderscope as well as the eyepiece.

The dew shield reduces radiative cooling of the Schmidt corrector lens to the night sky, thus keeping the lens below the dew point longer preventing dew formation on the lens. Additionally, the Aluminum Dew Shield increases image contrast by blocking stray light from entering the telescope for better viewing and astroimaging. Use the Aluminum Dew Shield on your 8 EdgeHD, RASA, or Schmidt Cassegrain (made after 2006) telescope tube confidently, knowing it was created for your exact instrument.

Construction

The Aluminum Dew Shield provides a perfect, custom fit for 8" Celestron telescope tubes. The exterior of the dew shield is a rigid, aluminum cylinder that will not fold, flex, or deform. Inside, a velvet-lined interior absorbs any additional stray light and excess moisture, creating optimal contrast when viewing and imaging. Attach the dew shield to your telescope tube with the two adjustable clips to ensure a snug fit.

We've also constructed the cover cap from durable yet lightweight aluminum. When your telescope is not in use, place the cover cap on your dew shield to protect your Schmidt corrector from stray dust particles. The cover cap also offers you the ability to quickly and easily acquire dark frames for imaging.
